My Bohol Beach Club Experience

The Philippines is home for 7,000+ islands which explains why a lot of local and foreign tourists can't get enough of the beautiful beaches that we have. To top the lists of the most famous beaches are Boracay in Aklan, El Nido in Palawan, and to name a few that are just a couple of hours drive away from Manila are the well-known resorts in Olongapo, Batangas and Zambales.
But one of my most favorite beach resort is located in Bohol Island. About an hour and a half plane ride from Manila to Tagbilaran and just about half an hour drive from the airport to the Bohol Beach Club located in Panglao Island. You can expect courteous staff to greet you and offer their refreshing signature iced tea. The only thing that didn't pleased me is the walk from the reception to our designated rooms or maybe just because it was high noon when we arrived in the resort that's why walking in a large piece of land is not that comfortable, but the staff knows how to make a remarkable welcome experience. Ice cold towels, portable drinking water almost in every corner, and the best of it all are their sincere smiles.
The beach itself for me is average, white and pure sand and clean and shallow water which is perfect for kiddos! They will surely love castle sand building and dipping in the ocean even meters away without drowning. Banana boat ride and glass bottom boat ride are included on their 3 days and 2 nights package if you seek more adventure you can go jet skiing and scuba diving. But for a person like me that just wanted some relaxation, watching the sunset while lying on the beach is already a great reward from stress.

The resort management takes cooking seriously. The food that they serve are diet-busters especially for seafood lovers. It actually made me feel pounds heavier during our stay. The only sad thing about this resort is unlike other beaches like Boracay and Puerto Galera you can't find any club or bar to hang out at night. That means that party people in the city will love this place for letting them sleep early. Downtown tour is also included most of the time on the package that they offer. You will get to visit the tourist spots like the famous Chocolate Hills, Man-made forest, century old beautiful churches that were rebuilt after the earthquake years ago. And of course the meet and greet with the cute Tarsiers!
So the next time that you will plan to go to the beach for a vacation whether with family, friends or special someone I will recommend to put the Bohol Beach Club on your list. They offer 3 days 2 nights package that includes roundtrip from airport to the resort, downtown tour, breakfast buffet for two days, lunch or dinner buffet for two days. Kayak or banana boat ride for 15mins.
Our family had an awesome summer dip in this beautiful and serene resort. We want to thank the staff for being accommodating especially to the two gorgeous nurses that took care of my sick daughter and nephew (sorry I forgot their names, I'm bad with remembering names). I'm looking forward on spending another summer trip in the resort.

One awesome summer in bohol 2015

Everyday Me Welcome Kit

Everyday Me Welcome Kit

Do you always look for discounted items whenever you do your grocery? Pinay moms are always delighted whenever they were being offered of items mostly household products that are of the same quality but for a much lower price.
I just found a website where you can find useful articles and tips that a pinay mom can definitely appreciate. And the best thing about it is that they are giving away product samples and they also reward their members of a month or even a year of product supplies just by writing product reviews! And all you need to do is to sign up to be a member. Isn't awesome?!
We all know that Procter and Gamble manufactures a lot of products that we use in our homes and it's so kind of them to think of practical ways to give back to their loyal consumers. Very glad to know that an established company still consider ways to reward and build connection with their consumers.
I just received my welcome kit after signing up for membership last July of this year, quite a long wait but I didn't mind, as a matter of fact I appreciate those who are taking the extra mile to make their consumers feel that they are being valued. And I can still use these coupons on my next grocery anyway.
So for those who wants to sign up for membership and get a lot of product samples all you need to do is to log on @ https://www.everydayme.com.ph fill out the membership form and enjoy the freebies that you can get as their member.

ElleMentips To Break Free From Stress

Deadline pressures, traffic, alcoholic hubby, piles of dirty laundry are some of the reasons why most mothers whine about being tired and stressed. But not all are aware of the signs and symptoms and what are the risks that it can cause to our health. Let's enumerate some indication of stress.

1.Feeling tired and exhausted almost all the time that you are awake.
2.Being impatient and irritable, gets easily upset. Forgetful.
3.Body experiences a lot of shaking, fast irregular heartbeat, excessive sweating.
4.Lightheadedness, dizziness or headaches. Back and shoulder pains.
5.Insomnia
6.Sudden change in appetite.
7.Stomach pains and/or diarrhea.

If you believe that you have these signs, it's about time to do something about it.
Let's look further into the tips and tricks on how to outsmart stress.

1.Analyze the reason or the source of your stress.
2.Be optimistic, we need to accept that there are things that are beyond our control but we can always do something to make us feel a lot better.
3.Discover a new hobby. Do something that can make you happy.
4.Get enough rest and sleep. Studies already proved that chronic sleeplessness can weaken the body's immune system.
5.Meditate, a few minutes of just sitting or lying down comfortably on a quiet and serene place can help to wipe away a lot of thoughts in mind that is causing us confusion and sometimes making us out of focus.
6.Get a relaxing massage from a licensed therapist. It can help relieve back and shoulder pain and can send you to a very good sleep.
7.Exercise regularly and eat healthy. Stress rarely comes to people that are healthy and fit.
8.Spend time with people that you value like your kids and family. Nothing can make you feel emotionally secured than being surrounded by people you trust.
9.Talking to a counselor will help to assess the degree of stress that you have. If you feel like none of the tips above help you out then you can schedule a stress management class.

You don't need to spend a fortune to manage stress. We are living in a world that can give us a lot of reason to be stressed at one point in our lives and sometimes the only secret is to live in positivity.

The Modern Pinay Mom

I remember a post in a social network, it was mother's day then and it said "Working mom is redundant" just a simple phrase but if you'll analyze the idea it will start to make sense. Being a mom is already a task or "work" for some, a responsibility that only a woman with a mother's heart can do without complaints, without asking for anything in return. To see her kids grow up the right way is her biggest accomplishment, it is worth the combined salary and benefits that she can have working for years. Filipinas are known for being a hands-on mother or a homemaker, our culture is that you can only find mothers at home cooking meals, doing the laundry, washing dishes, everything from taking care of the kids to making sure all of the corners of the house are clean. But what can you say about mothers that you can see falling into the endless lines in the MRT every morning five times a week to fulfill their duties as company employees? Does it makes them less of a woman being a mother? I myself experienced being challenged to be a working mom from years of staying at home as a fulltime mother. I came from a typical Filipino-Chinese family that believes that mothers are bound to stay only at home and take care of their family. An idea that I respect but I know to myself that will be better if we dream to grow and be more productive outside our noble homes. If women are bound only to be a homemaker when they will have their own family then why do they still need to spend years in school and university to study? Isn't cruel to teach them Physics, Math equations, the x's the y's and the z's when all they need is a vocational for housekeeping and caregiving? I always believe in the equality regardless of a person's sexual orientation. Every individual has their own mission and goals to achieve and that goal plays a big part for a person to feel their worth. Talking about goals, to witness your child to grow up with values and confidence are among the things that are in a mother's list of priorities, and just like any other person mothers also has something that they dream of doing, may it be a career or an interest. It is good to know that Filipina moms today are more skillful to find ways on how to pursue their goals without compromising their responsibilities that only a loving mother can fulfill. We heard a lot of stories of success of mothers who were able to balance their career and family life. They say that it's just a matter of time management and knowing your priorities. And as long as you have the courage to do everything that you need and everything that you want, nothing can stop a modern pinay mom to get the best of both worlds.
